An ACO or Accountable Care Organization is a Medicare program to reward low cost high quality care for your patients. It is an alternative to the Merit Based Incentive (MIPS) program for quality reporting.

What are the costs to joining an ACO?

Performing well in a total cost of care model requires dedication to quality and care improvement. By participating in Urgent ACO, participants get the operational and data support needed at no additional cost.

How much savings do I keep from the ACO?

Participants keep all of the 40% savings under BASIC Level A/B (prior to sequestration)

What are the benefits of joining an ACO?

When total cost of care delivered is below the ACO benchmark then the ACO receives 40% of the resulting savings under BASIC Level A/B (before sequestration and assuming that quality performance is met)

Do I have to sell my practice to join Urgent ACO?

No. You can join the ACO and retain your full independence as a practice.
